Plagiarism-Checking Policy

The International Journal of Information Technology and Computer Science Applications (IJITCSA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. To ensure the quality and authenticity of the scholarly work published in our journal, we have implemented a comprehensive plagiarism-checking policy.

Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else's work, ideas, or intellectual property as one's own, without proper attribution or permission. This includes, but is not limited to, copying and pasting text from other sources, paraphrasing without citation, and submitting someone else's work as original.

Plagiarism Detection Software

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a thorough plagiarism check using industry-standard plagiarism detection tools. The editorial team employs these tools to identify any instances of potential plagiarism and to ensure the originality of the content.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are expected to submit original work that has not been published elsewhere. If authors have used their own previously published work, proper citation and acknowledgment must be provided. Any use of others' work must be appropriately cited, giving proper credit to the original source.

Editorial Review Process

During the editorial review process, if any instances of plagiarism are detected, the manuscript will be subject to further investigation by the editorial team. The authors will be contacted to provide explanations and clarifications. Depending on the severity of the plagiarism, appropriate actions, including rejection of the manuscript, may be taken.

Consequences of Plagiarism

Authors found guilty of plagiarism may face the following consequences:

  • Rejection of the submitted manuscript.
  • Notification to the author's institution and relevant authorities.
  • Prohibition from submitting future manuscripts to the journal.
  • Public disclosure of the plagiarism incident in the published article.

Self-Plagiarism

Authors are advised to avoid self-plagiarism by appropriately citing their own previous work. Reusing substantial parts of one's own published work without proper citation is considered self-plagiarism and is not acceptable.

Appeals Process

Authors have the right to appeal decisions related to plagiarism. Appeals should be submitted in writing, providing a detailed explanation and any evidence supporting the appeal. The editorial team will review the appeal and make a final decision.
